What do a photographer, an art director, a strategic growth consultant, and a copywriter have in common?

We share a love for the ocean. And the will to protect it.

It started with a simple idea. We wanted to show the world how functional ocean bound plastic can be by making something useful with it. And not just some little trinket like a button or a shoelace, we wanted to make something big. The bigger the better. Because the more ocean bound plastic we use to make something useful, the less of it makes its way into the ocean. So we made trash cans. And not just any trash cans, we made those big bins with wheels that people roll out to the curb every week.

We learned a lot about ocean bound plastic, manufacturing … as well as the complex web of regulations and contracts involved with getting roller bins picked up on the streets of Los Angeles (sad trombone). But perhaps the most important thing we learned is that consumers truly desire sustainable products. The enthusiasm for these trash cans was off the charts. Trash cans! Everyone wanted one.

Now we partner with brands to release ocean-friendly products—and then tell world the story.
